Windows - Glazing Options

A TOUCH OF GLASS…

Glazing has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years. It is now more thermally efficient and there are now a multitude of different designs available, so it pays to consider the options before you decide.

Glazing Options

Leaded glass styles are particularly popular for a period look and feel. There’s a wide variety of patterns available, from the distinctive Elizabethan lattice style to the simpler square and rectangular panes which have a more contemporary feel.

Another very popular choice is Georgian bar. Its classical rectangular configuration make it particularly versatile and suitable for both modern and more period properties.

Glazing Options

Bevelled glass detailing has been making something a comeback. The technique of angling the edges of glass to refract additional light has been used by craftsmen for more than 200 years.

For those places where privacy is called for, such as bathrooms, toilets and entrance doors – obscure glass designs are available. It’s important to remember that there are different grades of obscurity to suit the levels of privacy you require. The grades range of 1, being least obscure to 5, offering the most privacy.

Careful selection of glass will help to reflect and enhance the character of your home.
