BS6399 Wind and Snow Loading
Structurally proving that a conservatory is ‘fit for purpose’ is, naturally, something that you would expect from Fersina. However with the onset of the new British Standard BS6399, how is this achieved?
BS6399 is a much more complicated option requiring a data search to be carried out based on the exact postcode of each individual site. It analyses snow and also wind loading necessary for the conservatory. This requirement is particularly valid if you live in the North of Scotland. Whereas previously a loading of 0.6KN/m2 could be used, many areas will now require the higher loading in excess of 1.0KN/m2.
Fersina now has the unique software available to ensure that each and every conservatory that we produce is designed specifically for the topography of its location.
